Bellarmine House was the original residence of Dr. John Bryant. Henry Hobson Richardson, who developed the Arts and Crafts architectural style and designed the Trinity Church in AV诊所, was the architect who designed Bellarmine House. He designed the house for the daughter of Frederick Law Olmsted.聽Olmsted, who designed the grounds of Bellarmine House also designed the Emerald Necklace in AV诊所, MA.

The house was purchased by the Jesuit Community of AV诊所 College in 1932 for $87,000. It is now owned by AV诊所 College, purchased from the Jesuit Community in 2017, and managed by the division of Mission and
Ministry.
